We at 7 Knots Digital have created this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, disclose and otherwise process personal information in connection with operating our business.
At 7 Knots Digital we respect the privacy of our users and the importance of the information they entrust to us. 7 Knots Digital provides growth and digital marketing services to businesses, our clients. Our services are designed for businesses and are not intended for individuals' personal, family or household use. Accordingly, we treat all personal information covered by this Privacy Policy, including information about any visitors to our website, as pertaining to individuals acting as business representatives, rather than in their personal capacity. To take advantage of our services, our clients share with us information about their customers and sales leads, including contact details. We process that information only at the direction of the client who provided the information, and only on that client's behalf. We also contact business professionals directly to invite them to our clients' webinars and events, as described in "Outreach to Business Professionals on Behalf of Event Organizers" below.
Scope of Policy
This Policy applies to the 7knotsdigital.com website, any other websites, mobile applications, or online services controlled by us and displaying this Privacy Policy, and 7 Knots Digital's services and applications. This Policy does not apply to other companies' or organizations' websites to which we link. Our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16.
In connection with providing services to our clients, we may operate additional websites and campaign landing pages, which may not bear the 7 Knots Digital name, on behalf of our clients. These pages are subject to this Privacy Policy where indicated. A current list of domains we operate is available upon request by emailing privacy@7knotsdigital.com.

7 Knots Digital Inc. is a Delaware corporation headquartered at 160 Fairview Avenue, PMB 194, Hudson, New York 12534, with its registered US office at 1905 Sherman St, Ste 200 #1052, Denver, CO 80203. Our team in Toronto, Canada (375 University Avenue, Unit 102, Suite 325, Toronto, ON M5G 2J5) supports client services and campaign delivery. For matters relating to our European operations, our affiliate 7 Knots Digital SIA (registration no. 40203629241, legal address Kronvalda bulvāris 3-1, Rīga, LV-1010, Latvia) supports lead generation and campaign delivery for clients targeting the DACH and Nordic regions.
Information We May Collect
Information We Collect for 7 Knots Digital's Own Business Purposes
We may collect information about individuals who interact with 7 Knots Digital when using our website, mobile applications and our services (such as employees of our clients), job applicants, and other individuals, directly from individuals, from third-party vendors, data brokers, or business partners, and from recruiters. The types of information we collect include personal and business contact information (contact name, business name, title, address, telephone number, and email address), and information individuals may provide in responses to survey questions.
Information We Collect from or on Behalf of Our Clients
We may collect information about individuals from our clients, such as through the operation of our services. Our clients determine the scope of the information transferred to us, and the information we receive may vary by client. Typically, we collect business contact information from our clients when providing growth marketing services on their behalf. Our clients may also request that we supplement data provided by the client with information from third-party vendors, data brokers, or business partners, such as intent and enrichment data providers. We validate business contact data at the point of collection and correct inaccurate records when we identify them.
Automated Processing and AI-Assisted Tools
Our services incorporate AI-powered and intent-based tools to support lead qualification and scoring, including account-level intent signals derived through third-party data sources. These tools inform, but do not by themselves make, final decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional information about our use of automated processing upon request. We also use approved generative AI tools in delivering our services, for example to draft content and to summarize meetings. Personal information is entered only into tools used under business terms that do not allow it to be used to train the provider's models, and AI-generated output is reviewed by a person before it is used.
Cookies and Other Information Collected by Automated Means
We, our service providers, and our business partners, may collect certain information about the use of our websites by automated means, such as cookies, web beacons and other technologies. Because there is not yet a consensus on how companies should respond to web browser-based do-not-track ("DNT") mechanisms, we do not respond to web browser-based DNT signals at this time. Please see the "Privacy Preferences, Rights and Choices" section below for information about opting out of, or limiting the use of, browsing behavior for online behavioral advertising purposes.
The information we collect by automated means includes: details about the devices used to access our websites and mobile applications; dates and times of visits and use; information about how our websites and mobile applications are used; details about how individuals interact with our emails; URLs that refer visitors to our websites; and search terms used to reach our websites or locate our mobile applications.

Our Use of Personal Information on Behalf of Our Clients
We use personal information we collect from or on behalf of our clients to provide services to our clients at their direction. We do not use client-provided information for 7 Knots Digital's own purposes, except where an individual has been notified, or has opted in where required by law, to receive communications from 7 Knots Digital or one of its brands, as described in "Our Brands and Programs" below. Typically, we are directed or authorized to use such information to fulfill service requests, customize content, facilitate use of our services and applications, analyze and improve our services, identify and protect against fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
Outreach to Business Professionals on Behalf of Event Organizers
We help event organizers, publishers and associations grow attendance at their webinars and events. To do this, we identify business professionals who may be interested in an event, using business contact information from data and enrichment providers, publicly available professional sources and our own campaign landing pages. We, or telemarketing partners acting on our behalf, may contact you by email or phone at your business contact details to invite you to an event. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes; you will be told at the start of the call, and recordings are kept for no longer than 90 days. If you register, we share your registration details with the event organizer, who will use them under its own privacy policy. Where notified on the registration page, we may also send you event invitations and industry insights from 7 Knots Digital or one of its brands or websites. You can unsubscribe at any time. If you do not want to be contacted, reply to our email, tell the caller, or email privacy@7knotsdigital.com with the subject "Do not contact", and we will add you to our suppression list.
Our Brands and Programs
7 Knots Digital operates its own brands, websites and programs, such as event invitation and industry insight services and attendance rewards programs, each of which may have its own privacy notice.
With Whom We May Share Information We Collect
We will not share your personal information with others except as indicated below, or when we inform you in advance and give you the opportunity to opt out. We may share personal information with:
- Service providers performing services on our behalf, including technology, hosting, email delivery, payment processing, demand generation, telemarketing, data enrichment, and AI and meeting transcription service providers
- 7 Knots Digital affiliates and subsidiaries, including 7 Knots Digital SIA (Latvia)
- Event organizers and webinar hosts (our clients), when you register for or ask to receive information about their event

We require service providers that process personal information on our behalf to protect it under written confidentiality and data protection terms. A current list of our sub-processors is available at 7knotsdigital.com/subprocessors. Unless prohibited by applicable law, we reserve the right to transfer information in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets, and will make reasonable efforts to direct any recipient to handle personal information consistent with this Policy where required by law. We may also share information to comply with legal and regulatory requirements and to protect against fraud and illegal activity.
Careers
If you submit information in connection with job opportunities with us, we collect the information you provide in connection with your job application, including contact information, professional credentials and skills, educational and work history, and other resume-type information, and any voluntarily provided diversity information. We use and disclose this information to facilitate recruitment activities, evaluate candidates, monitor recruitment statistics, and comply with legal requirements. We process this information based on our legitimate interest in evaluating job candidates or, for sensitive information you provide, based on your consent.
Privacy Preferences, Rights, and Choices
Individuals have certain rights and choices regarding our processing of their personal information. If exercising these rights limits our ability to process personal information, we may be precluded from providing our products or services to those individuals. Individuals whose personal information we process on behalf of a client should contact that client to exercise these rights.
- General objection / withdrawal of consent: you may object to processing or withdraw consent at any time, to the extent provided by law
- Access: you may request a copy of the personal information we maintain about you
- Correction: you may request correction of errors in your personal information
- Portability: you may request that we transfer your personal information to another controller
Deletion: you may request that we delete your personal information
Marketing emails: you may unsubscribe from marketing emails by following the instructions in the email; we retain the right to send non-marketing communications
We reserve the right to verify the identity of any individual making a request under this section. We respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. If we receive a request about personal information we process on behalf of a client, we forward it to that client within 48 hours and do not respond directly unless the client instructs us to.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, in addition to the rights above, you have the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, disclose, and "sell" or "share" (as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA), the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, the right to limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: To submit a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information, email privacy@7knotsdigital.com with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out Request," or write to our Denver, CO address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising this right.
You may also request information regarding the categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year, and the names and addresses of those third parties, by writing to privacy@7knotsdigital.com.
European Data Subjects (GDPR/UK GDPR)
Where we process personal data of individuals located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we do so on the lawful bases of legitimate interest, contractual necessity, or consent, as applicable, consistent with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and UK GDPR. Cross-border transfers of personal data outside the EEA/UK are made subject to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, for UK-originating data, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, as applicable.
Our affiliate 7 Knots Digital SIA (Latvia) supports our European operations, including campaigns directed at contacts in Germany, Austria, and the Nordic region. Where campaigns are directed at contacts in Germany or Austria, we obtain consent prior to initial outreach consistent with applicable national unfair-competition law (UWG), which differs from the opt-in-at-registration model we use in other regions.
If you are a resident within the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your member state.
Data Protection Contact: for questions, requests, or concerns relating to our processing of personal data, including under GDPR or UK GDPR, contact privacy@7knotsdigital.com. This role is currently held by our President; we have not designated a formal Data Protection Officer, as our processing activities do not meet the threshold requiring one under Article 37 of the GDPR.
International Data Transfers
We may transfer personal information to countries other than the country in which it was originally collected. If you are located outside of the United States, we typically transfer your personal information to the United States, where 7 Knots Digital Inc. is headquartered, and, for European operations, may transfer data involving 7 Knots Digital SIA (Latvia). Our team members in Canada and Latvia may also access personal information in order to deliver our services. The countries to which we transfer personal information may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information; where required, such transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards as described in the section above.
Security
We take appropriate physical, electronic, and other security measures to help safeguard personal information from accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, use, loss, or destruction. Further detail on our technical and organizational security measures is available in our Technology Security Statement, available upon request. Personal information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to authorized personnel using multi-factor authentication, and employees and contractors with access are bound by confidentiality agreements and complete security awareness training. If a security incident affects personal information, we notify affected clients within the timeframes set out in our agreements with them, and notify individuals and regulators where required by law.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, taking into account any contractual relationship governing retention and our legal or regulatory obligations. We will then destroy or anonymize the information in accordance with applicable law. For personal information we process on behalf of clients, we delete or return it within thirty (30) days of the end of the engagement or on the client's written request, in line with our agreement with that client. Telemarketing call recordings are kept for no longer than 90 days.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
7 Knots Digital reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date of this Policy and provide notice as required by applicable law, which may include notice via email or other contact information you have provided. We review this Policy at least annually.
